Saint-Gobain Technical Academy Gets Practical About Fire – ‘B’ Compliant
As part of our series of ‘Get Practical’ seminars Saint-Gobain Technical Academy are delighted to announce we are going on the road and we holding our next event in Ballsbridge, Dublin. Our upcoming, free to attend, ‘Get Practical about Fire – ‘B’ Compliant’ seminar will take place in The Herbert Park Hotel, Ballsbridge, Dublin on Thursday, 29th November 2018.
The event will see guest speakers from the industry covering a range of topics related to the passive fire strategies and sign off of the internal fit out of non-domestic buildings. These will include the importance of fire detailing, problems encountered on site and the management of fire measures.

Jason Horrex
Jason has over 10 years’ experience providing comprehensive technical support and advice to the construction industry and is now currently the Saint-Gobain Technical Academy Training Manager developing and providing training to industry professionals to promote best practice from specification to site.
Bryan Dunne MSc, BSc, Dip (Eng), CEng, MIEI, Eur Ing
Now with Eamon O’Boyle and Associates as a Senior Fire Consultant, Bryan holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from DIT and a masters in Fire Safety Engineering from the University of Ulster Bryan has over 20 years professional experience within the Fire and Events Safety industry. Bryan worked for a number of years as a Building Services Engineer before joining the Dublin Fire Brigade where he rose to the rank of Acting Senior Executive Fire Prevention Officer. He also contributed substantially to code development through his role as Assistant Fire Adviser, Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government.
Conall Finn
Chief Technical Officer and Assigned Certifier with i3PT Certification, a multi-disciplinary Assigned Certification body, Conall is an experienced Chartered Engineer with a fire and mechanical engineering background. He also lectures for the Institution of Fire Engineers and DIT and acts as vice-chair for the Engineers Ireland Project Management Society. He is currently working as an Assigned Certifier on a number of Large-scale commercial and residential developments and oversees teams of Assigned Certifiers. Among the projects he is currently working is the Capital Dock project, which includes Ireland’s tallest residential building, a 23 storey Apartment Block of 79m in height above ground level.
