Saint-Gobain Proud to Support Build Green Now 2026

On Wednesday, May 27th in the Great Hall of the Royal Hospital Kilmainham, Build Green Now 2026 conference brought together leading voices from across Ireland’s built environment for a day of meaningful dialogue, insight and collaboration.

As a proud sponsor, Saint-Gobain was delighted to support the conference once again. A key date in the Irish Green Building Council calendar, this year’s theme “Better Buildings, Better Communities, Better Business” set a clear and compelling direction for discussions.

The conference featured keynote speakers, case studies and insightful panel discussions focused on the role of responsible construction practices, the adoption of
circular business models, and the importance of high-performance materials in delivering buildings that are not only lower in carbon, but also healthier, more efficient and more resilient.

The day also included the IGBC Awards, celebrating organisations and professionals whose engagement and leadership continue to advance the Council’s mission and the wider
sustainability agenda.

A key moment for us on the day was the panel discussion “Adding Value Through Sustainability”, which brought together leading businesses from across the industry to understand how sustainability is shaping business strategy and performance.

Our own Managing Director Kieran Holohan joined the discussion alongside Laura Heuston (IGBC), Eibhlin O’Connor (Clúid), Steven McGee (Sisk) and Colin MacDonald
(Fine Grain Property).

The panel offered a cross-sector perspective on how sustainability is increasingly
embedded at the core of business decision-making.

At Saint-Gobain, this vision is embedded in our purpose of “Making the World a Better Home”. By developing solutions that enhance lightweight construction, comfort and energy efficiency, we aim to contribute to buildings that support both environmental performance and quality of life.
