Papering over the cracks: Tape and Jointing with Gyproc Paper Joint Tape

The paper tape jointing process of Gyproc plasterboard partitions, ceilings, wall linings and encasements are an essential part to enabling their system sign-off. It can also be advanced to a finishing stage to provide a suitable surface for direct decoration. Join with one of the Technical Academy’s training instructors for a step by step practical application guide to all the key stages of the tape and jointing process. These will all be covered during the 1-hour webinar presentation titled 'Papering over the cracks'.

The presentation, mixing theory with practical demonstrations, will provide an overview of the manufacturer's recommendations and the essential parts of the relevant codes of practice. However, most of the presentation will focus on the practical three-stage tape and fill requirements and subsequent finishing processes. We will cover a range of situations including preparation, application and finishing of tapered and square-edged plasterboard joints, for flat joints, internal and external angles.

All our Technical Academy Online courses are being run through MS Teams and require registration which can be undertaken in a few easy steps by clicking the link below/above. Participants do not need to have MS Teams installed on their devices to attend the webinar.

Each webinar will include the described presentation with sufficient time also allowed to ask the presenter questions. Questions will be directed to the presenter through the systems chat facility and will be anonymised when responded to.
