Renovation Solutions

In light of the government’s recent announcement relating to measures to restrict the spread of the Coronavirus (Covid-19), the Technical Academy will be suspending all courses until further notice. We hope to resume activity as soon as possible and will post a revised calendar in the coming weeks.

A one-day course covering both theory and practical demonstrations.  This one day course provides attendees with a practical appreciation of a full range of internal fit-out solution techniques and systems that can be adopted to improve the overall energy performance and comfort levels within existing buildings.  Attendees will gain an understanding of basic thermal, moisture management and acoustic theory and appreciate that in the context of renovation, working with an existing structure, the choice of materials
and their correct installation is crucial in mitigating against detrimental site issues and performances.

PPE Requirements

Kingscourt Academy – Attendees should bring safety footwear with them on the day.  Footwear can be loaned with prior notice.

Attendance Requirements

Attendees are expected to have a basic knowledge of construction principles.
